Webinar: Personality & the Brain - A New Paradigm for Training

Effective training and development programs literally change the brain. Unfortunately, most training and development approaches focus on skills and behavior, instead of what drives behavior and what employees need and feel during the learning process. The underlying belief seems to be that learning is solely a cognitive activity and not an ongoing process that is greatly influenced by the employee’s emotions and personality. As a result, most programs fail to achieve their intended outcomes.

It's time for an innovative paradigm for training and development! Join us for this breakfast seminar in which we will show you how to swap the content-driven model for a whole person approach to training and development. Discover how to consider the employee's personality, emotional needs and learning style. Using recent breakthroughs in the biology of learning, this approach includes what happens physiologically during learning so programs can be developed to enhance the retention of training content and engage employees emotionally.

Specifically, you will build your understanding of:

  • why learning and development programs often fail to change behaviour
  • how the brain learns and implications for Learning & Development programs
  • the four quadrants and functions of the brain;
  • importance of engaging emotions in the learning experience
  • role of personality assessments in the learning process
