Here are some of the projects we have worked on with our clients.
- New Executive Team Functioning: with a new CEO at the helm, this mid-sized natural resources firm needed to rebuild its senior management team in order to position the firm for growth. Time being of the essence, the CEO needed to fast track the development of his team, ensuring their ability to function effectively as quickly as possible. Working collectively with the team, as well as individually, we focused on the development of leadership competencies based on their own brain organization and working through conflicts that naturally occur in team dynamics. Today, the team is able to quickly address issues that emerge and are making significant strides against their strategic plan.
- Cultural Change: a culture of blame, micromanagement and failure to achieve results had developed within the operations of a mid-sized industrial firm. Turnover amongst management was significant and burnout was a major concern. We embarked on a process to understand the root cause of the dysfunction, examining leadership behavior as well as the systems and structures in place within the operation. The result was a comprehensive plan for restructuring the organization, providing developmental support to key individuals to close gaps, and the implementation of meeting disciplines as well as accountability plans to keep the team focused on its outcomes. Today, the group is consistently hitting its production targets and the management team has stabilized.
- Eliminating Entrepreneurial Chaos: every entrepreneurial organization reaches that crisis point where they have to shift their practices in order to get to the next level of growth. This rapidly growing technology company was working to systemize its business processes, but had not yet done the same for its leadership practices. Chaos, frustration, power struggles and conflict were all threatening to undermine the potential of this business. Working with the two owners, as well as their COO, we focused on understanding what was drivign their behavior and dysfunction based on their brain organization. Then, we facilitated the development of a clear strategic plan, new organizational structure and the management processes necessary to support success including: decision making model for new investments, quarterly and weekly planners as well as meeting protocols. While the road is still a little bumpy, our approach has minimized the conflict and power struggles that were taking their toll on everyone involved.
